Earlier this month I reserved and prepaid a five day stay at Casa Camilla, Boracay Island, Philippines. When we arrived at the facility, they had no record of our reservation and the room I reseved was occupied. The staff did not offer any alternatives, nor did they seem interested in solving this problem. We were tired as we had just arrived from Penang then Manila, so we went to another hotel to crash. I emailed the owner of Casa Camilla and politely asked for a refund. The owner, one Bill Collings, replied that it was my mistake and accused me of finding different ccommodation when I arrived. He refused to refund my payment. If you are planning to visit Boracay, do so, its a beautiful beach island, but avoid staying at Casa Camilla. (Formerly known as Ki's Cottages and Tin Tin's Cottages).

That's interesting because a couple of us are planning to visit Boracay in the Philippines in mid-December and have actually been looking at Casa Camilla. What does the place look like and where did you stay? If you went diving with whom did you go? This will be my first visit to Boracay so any first-hand info would be appreciated.
