Travelling in Poland is great. Here are some ideas
Krakow is Great! A side trips from there would be to Auschwitz (be sure to also visit Auschwitz II). Also don't miss the salt mines outside Krakow. You can get a local bus there for less than a Euro. They are amazing, there is even an entire cathedral undergraound totally made from salt. Google "krakow salt mines" and check out the Info. and pictures.

In the North, to the east of Gdansk, is the "Wolf's Liar" where Hitler hide out for most of the war.

Although I never got there, between Warsaw & Krakow, you could stop in Czestochowa and see the famous Black Madonna.

Poland's a great country to travel around, and cheaper than Western Europe. Have Fun!

Thanks for the advice, I added Krakow to the list of cities I want to visit in Poland during my trip in October this year.

Best wishes,

Rob
